If I understand right, it can take a while for a woman to get her period again, or at least for it to become regular again, after giving birth. I know a few girls who didn't get a period until 6+ months after having a baby. So I'd say that's most likely what's going on in your case. BUT, there is probably definitely (that doesn't really make sense lol) a chance you could be pregnant, too, if you're one of the people whose periods get right back on track right away. A girl I work with just had her baby in June, and she had a period exactly when she normally would have - 4 weeks after. So it all depends, but it could be possible.
It sounds like it wouldn't be too early for you to take a test, since you've "missed" a period. Couldn't hurt to take one!
Docotr told me women are most fertile after having a baby. That is one of the reasons they tell you not to have sex for 6 weeks... to let your body heal and to not get pregnant again so quickly because your body is under a lot of pressure when you get pregnant that quickly and you need to really really take care of yourself when that happens... most lead to miscarriage when they happen almost immediatly after the birth of a child... just telling you what my doctor said... not saying I am right.
