Well, I can;t believe it. I'm a little shaken up right now.
I went for the ultrasound and dh ended up meeting me there. The nurse saw the baby, and there was a beating heart. The most beautiful thing I ever saw. Everything looked great, measuring perfectly. Then she said "there's only one occupant." And I made some joke like "Thank God!" Then she said "Your uterus looks big though- oh wait- there's two."
I have never asked a medical professional if she was kidding before, but I must have asked this woman about 5 times. That's right, girls! We're having twins!!
Fraternal, separate sacs. They look great, and she said they are spaced apart very nicely. The nurse said this is the best case scenario for twins.
The bleeding was nothing to be concerned about. But we're having twins. Twins.
TWINS!!!!
I found out about 2 hours ago. I am freaking out!!!

OMG hun!! When I read your post my heart just about stopped! I'm soooooo excited beyond belief for you! If only you could see how happy I am for you!! Oh hun, this is so wonderful! Believe me, if anyone deserves this, it's you. You had to go through that m/c and now you're being blessed with two. I'm SOOO happy for you!! Congratulations!!

i too had another u/s and everything looks great. they don't know where the spotting came from. the baby was way more formed this time. i could see the beating heart of course, but i could clearly see the skull, arms, hand buds and legs. it was even moving around in there. i am measuring 1 day behind where i was at the first u/s, butthe tech said that was very common, more common than staying exactly on the day that you originally got. i got some more pics and i look at it all the time.
well my 1 year old is now ready for bed, again, at 4:00 am----- woooooohooooo..... motherhood makes you tired!
