Red face Tubes Tied And A Faint Positive Line!

Hello all. I have had my tubes tied for 3 yrs now! I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it had a real faint line in the positive side. I'm wondering If any 1 has or ever heard of some one getting pregnant after words, and if so did the baby make it?

Re: Tubes Tied And A Faint Positive Line!

DH's aunt had her tubes tied for 15+ years and got pregnant. Real kicker, her husband had a vasectomy as well...Yes the baby was and is fine. He has downs but that is because she was in her late 40's and at high risk for that anyhow. Had nothing to do with the tubes being tied.

I mean surgery yeah dramatically decreases your odds.....but nothing can be 100%

Re: Tubes Tied And A Faint Positive Line!

I have heard of women getting pregnant after a tubiligation but the chances that the baby makes it are very slim. I would see a Dr immediately. It could cause you harm as well, it is much like an eptopic pregnancy. And by the way, any line, even a faint one, is a positive. Go see your OB-GYN!!!!!

Re: Tubes Tied And A Faint Positive Line!

I have read that the chances of ectopic pregnancy are greatly increased after a tubal ligation, should there be a pregnancy. Definitely go see your doctor early on and have an ultrasound to confirm with a blood test and make sure the baby is in your uterus if there is a baby. A faint line is a line and means positive.
