Question What were your HCG counts?

Hi,
Just curious of what other peoples HCG counts were and at what point in their pregnancy the count was taken. I am wondering because with my daughter I had a count done at 4 weeks (Dr's calculations, but I think it was actually 7-8 weeks really) at that point my count was 54. The second pregnany, the count at about 3 1/2 - 4 weeks was 12.(this one ended in miscarriage at almost 5 weeks) This pregnancy at 3 1/2 weeks was 107. I don't think I am having twins because my symptoms I assume would be more intense. I've heard multiples are only passed down through the mothers side, my Dad is a twin.(Grandma had 3 sets of twins, including my Dad, and 1 set of triplets) Does that count as being passed down through the mothers side? Or does it need to be MY mothers side?

Re: What were your HCG counts?

I have yet to be told in almost 33 weeks what my HCG levels were. Twins can be passed down on any side. IT is possible.

Re: What were your HCG counts?

I think they can vary a lot from person to person and there's a pretty big range too which overlaps with the average range for twins so it may or may not mean anything. I know my hcg at 4 weeks from last period was 206 but I'm not having twins. It's supposed to double ever 36 -48 hours or so for the first weeks I think which I think is the most important thing rather than the actual number.
Take care!
Stacy
