Ultrasound results in..no longer worried :)

I just got back from my appointment and its official. I am 8 weeks and due 8/08. Boy is it going to be a long hot summer! Guess I will go add my name to the August moms.
I brought my pictures in and the Dr confirmed the "jelly bean" is the baby and the "marble" is the yolk. Stacy you were right on! Thanks!! Everything looks good and he wants to see me in 4 weeks.
The only thing I thought was odd is that the person who read the ultrasound requested that another scan be done in 4-6 weeks to monitor the growth. Maybe because we dont have a LMP to go off of and they dont want to miss the window where you have to do that test for Down Syndrome? He also said the tech asked those questions because they usually only do ultra sounds that early if they suspect a tubal pregnancy. You ladies are so smart
I want to thank all of you who tried to ease my mind the last few days. Its hard when DH thinks I am paranoid and I cant talk to my mom who has been in the hospital for the past 10 days due to heart failure, you guys are my sanity Thanks again

Oh I am so happy for you! You must feel sooo much better! I know it's hard cause I worry about everything! Every time I have a headache or feel a little cramp I tell my dh and he says, oh that's all normal, don't worry. But you can't help but worry. The good thing is, the more you worry, the more it forces you to ask questions and the more you learn stuff! You'll be easing someone else's mind about all this when they have the same questions you have already learned the answer to! Anyways, I am really glad everything is going well. Keep us posted!

GrilledSmurf, I am also due 8/8/05. I have an ultrasound appt. set up on the 10th of Jan. Just out of curiosity was the 1st day of your LMP 11/01/04? Mine was. I have went to the doc. to do the pregnancy test & 8/8/05 is the date they gave me.

Re: Ultrasound results in..no longer worried :)

Hey Chris,

I have very irregular periods and its not uncommon for me to go 90 days or so in between. If I put my due date into the pregnancy calculators it counts back and says LMP 11/1. So your dates sound right. We'll have to keep in touch and compare notes.

I'm so glad everything is okay. What a relief it must be for you. Pregnancy is stressful enough without all the added worries.

That sounds great! Can't wait for my ultrasound on the 10th to make sure it's definitely 8-8-05. I believe though it is. Good luck!
