| Will obesity stop me from getting pregnant?
Hello,
If anyone could give me some advice on this question, then thank you so much. I'm a 39 year old woman, just got married last year to a great guy, and now we would like to start to have a child. I'm 5'8" and almost 230 lbs. This is the most I've ever weighed in my life and I can't seem to get the weight off fast enough so that I can have a child.
My OB/GYN told me that I probably could still have a child at this weight but the Fertility specialist I just got done seeing, said I need to lose the weight first. I don't have much "biological clock" time to have a baby, and losing the weight could take a year or so to come off.
So, has anyone had their first baby at around my age and with the same weight problem? If so, did you have any health problems get worse (ie; blood pressure, diabetes, depression, etc..)?
Thank you for any help you can suggest to me or just stories about how you or someone you know went through something like this.
