Couldn't be more anxious! Husband has been hospiatlized since yesterday with virus or food poisoning....not sure yet.
Trying to avoid 'stress' since I can't be near the ER or infectious people right now... but just went to the rest room and found a considerable amount of yellow & clear mucas/fluid/discharge....
No contractions as far as i can tell (first pregnancy) but just needed some input about this mucas plug issue.
Could still be a while. I lost most of mine at 35 weeks also. At my 36 week appt. nothing had happened, but I found out I had thinned some and dilated to a 2. Then it was another week and 1/2 before DS was born. Just watch for any leaking fluid, bleeding or pink tinged mucous, or contractions.
Good luck!

I have heard they can be any color, just like mucous from your nose or lungs. Mine was a gloppy, stringy greyish green. I've heard of them being whitish, yellowish, brownish, greenish, pinkish (blood tinged), clear.... you get the picutre. LOL. Basically any color you've ever seen snot in, it could be. And it varies from woman to woman.
I lost mine over the course of a couple days. It took a while to all come out. The color was different as time went on.
The thing to watch for is light bleeding with it. That could mean you are in labor and dilating.

Just go on with normal routine an wait for contractions. Believe me you will know when you have them. You could be waiting for a few hours or up to two weeks. Just get as much ready as you can now. Good Luck!! Hope the baby waits for daddy to get better before making an entrance!

Thanks! He was jsut released. Still don't know what he has. I am in exhile from him for 48 hours minimum... they can't tell if it is the ROTA virus or food poisoning... They are leaning toward the virus. I haven't been able to see him in 24 hours so that sux. But better safe than sorry. He lost 8 lbs of fluid in 24 hours... Something we (the baby & I) can't afford to endure.
