Questions concerning levels

My wife is just over 12 weeks. We had our first appointment with the OB just before Christmas and he didn't do any exam, just spoke with us, and did blood tests and urine tests. Obviously they checked her HCG levels. We haven't heard back on these tests except that she doesn't have a UTI, which she thought she may have.

My question is would they be able to tell if her levels at (which was then 10 weeks) were good, and not hearing anything back is a good sign that alls well so far?

She had a blood test at 5 weeks as well with her GP to verify she was pregnant.

Just checking!
Thanks!

Re: Questions concerning levels

No news is usually good news. I would imagine that if she is 10 weeks and all is progressing, that there isn't anything to worry about. Believe me, the doctors will get back to you if there's a problem. If you're worried though, don't be afraid to call. Never feel like you're bothering the doctor. They're there for you.

Re: Questions concerning levels

the only that the levels can really tell you is if they pregnancy is progessing normally and give you a guesstimate of a due date, but the leves vary SO widely from person to person it is hard to tell. I have seen women on here who were at 15k at 7 weeks and I was at 80k at 7 weeks. That doesn't mean anythign was wrogn with either of us, just a difference. Good Luck! And i agree that no new is probably good news!
