I don't think so, but ask your doctor. For motion sickness, my doctor recommended taking 2 ginger pills every 4 hours. I have taken ginger instead of Dramamine for years since it calms my stomach but doesn't make me feel loopy and out of it. I was prescribed Zofran for motion sickness (typically used for morning sickness) by my former doctor, but it did nothing to help the motion sickness. Hope this helps.
My dr told me that dramamine was NOT okay...but that cola syrup and bonine were both okay. I found them both at my local pharmacy. The cola syrup did help somewhat...it was way better than nothing! And I never even opened the bonine. Good luck!
Thanks for all the responses. I'll be going to St. John for a friend's wedding in April, but you have to fly to St. Thomas and take a ferry to St. John...my friend recommended Dramamine for both the cab ride to the ferry and the ferry itself. Guess its ginger pills for me! Hopefully I can sit up front in the cab/van too...I always get carsick in the back.
