Hi, I am 32 weeks pregnant and I measured 34 cm yesterday on my doctors appointment. The doctor said I was a little big, what does this mean? Am I having a big baby?
not necessarily. the size of your baby is not determined by the size of your stomach. i was REAL huge....looked like 2 or 3 babies could have been in there.....my daughter was 8 lbs 11.5 oz......not small...but definitely not big either.
Thanks, that was a huge baby, I don't think I can have a baby that big. My last one was 6.6.8 pounds. My first one was born at 36 weeks and he was 5.6 pounds 19 inches. I can't even walk any more. I am short too.
I second that dakota! If they measure me with a measuring tape, I am a lil big, but when the older doc does the measuring with his hands I am right where I am s uppose to be. Plus she has moved in the past 2 weeks and is in a completly diffrent position than she was 2 weeks ago.
The baby may be big, or may be lying in an odd position. I measured big last time and I had a HUGE baby. Over 11lbs! Now I'm measuing big again. But It wasn't as bad as it seems. At 31 weeks I measured 35. Went for an ultrasound and baby was about 33 weeks. So, who knows. Try not to worry too much. Now that you've already had 1 baby your body is in much better shape to have another one, even if it's bigger!

I was 32 weeks and measured 39. I don't think to many people measure the way they should. I was big because I had a big baby 10LBS 6OZ. My SIL had 5 children all between 6 and 7 LBS and she always measured bigger.

My 28 week they measured me at 32 cms. I was pumped because I have been telling myself that they were wrong about the conception date. But ever since then they have been closer to the cm/weeks calculation. I think he was just messing with their head! I would so like to know how big they think he is... is this only and 'educated guess' or do they test to see how big he is? Ever? U/S?
adderall, I had several U/S to measure the baby because they knew she was going to be so big, but even in the beginning they always measure the baby to check for proper growth. Have you had an U/S yet? I would think by 28 weeks you would have had at least one.

I looked huge aswell - I was sure the doctor had screwed up and I was having twins at the very least....... Then I had my baby at 36 weeks (he's just gone a month old!) and he was only 4lbs 2oz!!
LOL... just have to laugh. I was told that my daughter was going to be huge. I always measured 2-3 weeks bigger than I was. They would tell me she's going to be atleast 24" and 8#. I had an untrasound at 36 wks, because I hadn't felt movement. (paranoid 1st timer) She was born a week early at 7lbs5oz and 20" long. Don't worry to much about it. There hardly ever exactly on.
