Are those ancient chinese birthcharts really as accurate as they make them out to be
I'm just wondering if anyone has any feedback on those charts. When I was pregnant with our daughter a coworker gave me a chart and it ended up being correct. The coworker swore that it has been right every time for members of her family. I checked the charts again for this baby and it says I have an 83% chance of having a boy. We plan on finding out with this one when/if we can. Anyone else have feedback?
Re: Are those ancient chinese birthcharts really as accurate as they make them out to be
it it said my first should be a girl....she was
it said this one would be a boy......it is!
who knows....i dont look at it like a very accurate thing, just fun
but in my case it was right on both times....

Congrats! Hmmm...I'm so curious to know now...I'm only 6 weeks so I have a ways to go but really curious to see if those charts are that successful. Thanks for replying.
Re: Are those ancient chinese birthcharts really as accurate as they make them out to be
I would love to know everyone's opinion as well. With my first it said girl but I swore I was having a boy. Guess what, I had a girl! This time it says boy and I have no idea for sure. I'm from Prince Edward Island Canada and they don't tell you the sex of the baby here. I'm getting an ultrasound very soon off island though and I heard they tell you there. Can't wait!
Re: Are those ancient chinese birthcharts really as accurate as they make them out to be
Kimberly, even your Dr can't tell you when s/he gets the ultrasound results. I know the ultrasound techs aren't "supposed" to give you the results, but most do here. (Edmonton, Alberta. Canada) And most Drs will too as long as the mother asks...goodluck with the off island scan.
I know some of those birth charts give you a percentage of accuracy...like my chances that I'm having a boy right now is 83%, but sometimes with others it's only 50%...I wonder if the ones that end up being wrong had the lower percentages or not. With my daughter it was right and still only a 50% chance...but a friend of mine had 3 kids and 2 of the 3 were wrong...and both of those that were wrong only had 50% accuracy rates. Geez, I wish I knew what I was having now...it's going to feel like forever now. Thanks for replying everyone.

I think its very accurate, but I really wish I knew the theory behind it. When my friend and I came upon it we tested like everyone we could think of and it proved to be very accurate only like 5 wrongs!

Let me put it this way, do you believe in astrology? I personally do not, and I would put Chinese birthcharts in the same category. They are only for fun. Sure, they can be right, except they can be wrong too. You can't believe that they have been correct with every single woman? Each and every midwives tail pointed to me having a girl, including the birthchart, and I am having a boy. If you want to believe in it, then go ahead, because I know it can be fun, just hold off on buying clothes and decorating the nursery until you know for sure.

Oh, I won't be going out and buying blue paint and a baby boy wardrobe quite yet. I'm just more or less curious. I used to be a regional supervisor for a childrens clothing store and had seen far too many people rushing in with a sense of urgency to buy some new clothes because the Dr/ultrasounds were wrong, and they weren't about to let their new bouncing baby boy wear pink home from the hospital. LOL
It's kinda cool to hear the stories about it just the same.

i am sure you all know that you read it by the age and month of conception? i messed that up with my son, but figured it out half way through. the chart said boy both times-- i know for sure my son is, i guess no one knows for sure until they come out, but it says boy again, and so did the ultra sound tech.
