Kind of a strange question about discharge

I was just wondering if anyone else has this happen. Sometimes when I am sitting, I can feel the discharge come out of me. It's hard to explain, but I can just tell it's coming out. And it only does it for like 2 or 3 seconds. And then when I stand I can sometimes feel it come out as well. It's weird. I'm 14 weeks and am having a lot of discharge now. Anyone else know what I am talking about???

Re: Kind of a strange question about discharge

Hi there, I am 15 weeks and I have had the same thing happen. In fact while I am going to the bathroom - I have looked down and seen it there.....So it's normal.....I wouldn't worry about it - but if you do - talk to the DR....

Discharge is normal, but if you notice any change in the discharge such as a change in color (infection) or change in consistency (more watery than normal) you must talk to your doctor.

Re: Kind of a strange question about discharge

andilyn - I've noticed the same thing. It's kind of gross...I'll be standing there, and suddenly it's dripping down my leg! hehe, sorry if TMI! Anyway, I've compensated by wearing pantyliners during the day. Not much else you can do!

Does anyone know why pg women have this discharge? Is it just caused by changes in the body?

chrystina - i think i remember reading it's because of the increased hormone levels or something...so yes, it's just one of the lovely side effects of being preggers!

Re: Kind of a strange question about discharge

Andilyn,
Like the other posters said, as long as it's a discharge without any strange color, you should be fine. But if you are having a discharge which may be combined with itching, painful urination, then get it checked out. I am suffering from lovely bacterial vaginosis. Not to give too much info, but my discharge was a yellow-tint. I also was having a tough time urinating. As long as your discharge is the same color that it was before pregnancy, I wouldn't worry too much about it; whether or not it's running down your legs! This increase IS because of our happy hormones. And these are the same hormones that can cause yeast infections and bacterial infections with the drop of a hat. So, keep an eye on that bodily discharge! Have a GREAT one ladies!

Re: Kind of a strange question about discharge

with my first pregnancy I thought flood gates were opening sometimes when I stood up, I had alot of discharge and I relate with how unconfortable it can be. I found that if you wore a panty liner that it really made me feel less self conscience. I was told that women have more discharge during pregnancy than other and that it is not something you really need to worry about.
