I am 9 months pregnant and my blood pressure is running like 128-130/90-99 does that seem really high to anyone?? I am on medicine for my blood pressure anyway and in the start of my pregnancy my blood pressure was normal but now seems to be shooting up the last few weeks. is this typical?? My doc has tested me for pre-eclampsia but things are fine, i dont have major swelling, i have alot of headaches but ive always had those, so anyone with any imput on this??
My first pg, my blood pressure was completely normal until the day that I delivered....all of a sudden, it sky rocketed and I had to be sent to the hospital to be induced....luckily by the time I got to the hospital, I was already in labor....long story short, my blood pressure going up like that was just my body's way of saying that it was time for the baby to come out! Everything went back to normal after being on magnesium solution in my IV for 2 days, and my baby was just fine.
Has your doctor ordered an U/S recently? That's how they found out about my bp, and they saw that my baby's bp was high, also they saw that I had calcium deposits on the placenta, and my amniotic fluid was low....maybe you should ask your doc if an U/S would explain your bp situation.
That really doesnt seem too high to me. I am only almost 29 wks and my bp has just barely started to go up (today it was 140/80, and normally it is around 115/70). I think it really varies by person though. I had a little bit of hypertension BEFORE I got prego, then it went back to normal. According to my doctor, it is normal for bp to go up in the last trimester (and woohooo, you are almost done!!) a bit. If you doc doesnt seem too concerned I wouldnt really worry about it.
i called my doctor and she sent me up to the hospital they monitored me for about 3 hrs and it kept goin from 120/70 to 150/95 but it leveled out so they sent me home, i was showing small contractions but they said nothing major so if they get worse or i feel bad come back up. They did blood work and a urine sample and it was fine so i guess its just gonna be like this till i deliver.
Mine was pretty high to starting somewhere around my 7th month, it was around 145/95. When I had her it shot way up to 172/122 like TAZMZN I had to be put on a magnesium drip for 3 days and that brought it down a little bit, but when you have to take that you can't breast feed. I was on blood pressure meds for about 2 months after I had her. It is fine now.
Good luck I hope it goes down for you.
