Exclamation not lower back pain, huge blood clot

i had posted on friday
how i had the worst lower back pain and in my hip and that i was gonna call the chiropractor back cause he made me feel worse
getting in the shower on my way to his opffice i noticed my left leg completley blue
i get to his office freacking out he says dont know why its blue but baby is sitting on syatic nerve come backe when the leg swellinng is gone
mean while i'm like i'm in pain
he says call your o/b he'll give you pain killers
i'm like forget it cause when i had a bad headache they gave me pain killers and it was a terrible sinus infection and i had to get and mri on my head
so i'm thinkin all these drugs cant be good for the baby
i proseed to drive my daughter to school wich is right next to my moms jobs
and i start to vomit all over parking lot
my mother sees me and is now giving me the third degree she gets in my car and drives me to the o/b
hes say i need you to go to the ER and have a cat scan done it could be a blood clot
get to ER and up right away they do the test come back and say its a huge blod clot in my femeral vain
and there i was in the maternity ward for the last 5 days getting injections in my pregnant belly of lovenox a blood thinner
now i have to get these shots 2x a day for the next 6 months
if anyone remembers i have a blood disorder to beging with essential thrombocytosis wich is a high platelets and i was on baby asprin to keep from clotting
i guess my point is i just learned that 2 out of 7 pregnant weman are at risk of blood clots and at 7 months of pregnancy i just found out i'm a high risk pregnancy
so if you are having back pain thats unusual and doent go away go to the doctor

Re: not lower back pain, huge blood clot

dont be sorry
no one could help it
its just realy serious and i think women need to be more aware
i have read so much abouch about hip and back pain here on the boards and never once thought that it could be a potentially fatal clot

the worst part was being the only one in the maternity ward with out a new born to play with , wasnt even alowed in a wheel chair to go look at the little babes

good side of this is my husband is finding out what a pain it is to take care of the kids , get them back and forth from school , clean the house , up and down the stairs with laundry , every day is actually work
its been 6 days and hes getting kind of crazy , i feel bad but its kind of funny to watch
not to mention he is now my nurse and he has to give me the shots in the belly
so i try not to tell him how i like things done and let him do his own thing
after all he has the power with the needle
life is cruel ironic and out right funny
