Progesterone levels and what they mean?

Newbie here, I got a message on my answering machine from my ob with the bloodwork results they took last friday. He said my progesterone level was at 18 and looks good for an early pregnancy date. Could someone fill me in as to what the progesterone levels mean?

Thanks, Kelly

Re: Progesterone levels and what they mean?

Hi Kelly,

18 level sounds good to me. Mine was 5 after positive pg test (5th week). My OB was concerned about level 5. OB said it is low to support pg. They put me on progesterone supplements for first 13 weeks. I am now 16w2d.
BTW, progesterone is the main hormone which supports pg.

All the best to you
