I copied the following post from someone who had posted on the thread: two due dates which one to go by.

"My LMP due date was june 25 but when I went for my u/s they told me july5.At my next app my doc said the u/s can be a week off but @10 days he said we would keep both in mind but go with my original so I go with 6/30 for my readings."

My question is for anyone who can answer it though. My due date (according to the first day of my last period) was April 23. Since I was on bc, my periods were fairly regular. Then the sonogram said May 19. That's a huge difference (roughly 3/4 weeks) should I be expecting to deliver sooner?

Have you asked your doctor about that?....Honestly? I really don't know!...Good Luck!

Wow Lynn, that is a big difference. My u/s said I was only a week ahead, and the doctor said if it was more than 2 weeks, then they consider moving your due date. When do you go for the sonogram to check fetal weight and size, because that will definitley let you know, what has your doctor been telling you? I honestly don't trust the u/s that much.

I never asked my doctor about this. I always assumed it wasn't a big deal. However, the calculation isn't adding up.

If I were due May 19, then the first day of my last period would have roughly been August 12. Now that would be impossible since I ended my last period on July 22/23. There is no way I would have ended my period on the 22 then started again on the 12.

I had surgery on July 22 to check for cervical cancer. I had abnormal cells growing on my cervix. The doctor clipped a chunk of my cervix off then flushed my uterus with vinegar. I never had a period after that and I was on birth control. I believe the surgery helped me conceive. However, that would make calculating this tricky.

I'm confused
