Ovulation and no period?

I noticed the stretchy discharge on Feb 27 or 28. It has been more than 14 days since that date and i haven't gotten my period. is it possible that some people will take longer to get their period after ovulation? or is it possible i'm pregnant? I had sex on one of those days but he pulled out.

Re: Ovulation and no period?

Yes to both - not all women are on the same schedule, and even if he pulled out, you were having sex on one of your most fertile days. I believe the term for the length of time between ovulation and your period is called your luteal phase, but you may want to ****** that and make sure. Are your periods normally regular? Either way, you should probably take a home pregnancy test in a week or so and see what happens. Good luck.

Re: Ovulation and no period?

No my periods are very irregular... I've been tracking them for the past 3 years and noticed they range from 21 days to 65-70 days between the last and next period. It is very annoying because its hard to track the stretchy discharge. The doctors said there is no medication to regulate it.

Re: Ovulation and no period?

No medication aside from birth control pills, which you wouldn't want to be taking if you were trying to get pregnant (although, if you're not trying, the Pill would likely be able to regulate your cycle). I'd say if you're trying to get pregnant, you may want to get one of those ovulation testers so you'll know when you're ovulating...or do temperature charting (there's more info on these methods on the TTC - Trying To Conceive board) - but otherwise, I think a blood test will eventually be your best bet to determine whether or not you're pregnant on this go round. I'd say give it 4-6 weeks from when you noticed the stretchy discharge and then start testing. Good luck.

Re: Ovulation and no period?

thanks for the feedback. my doctor refused to give me birth control because she said its bad enough that i dont get enough calcuim. if i take them, it will absorb even more of the calcium i have in my body.

anyways. i got my period yesterday. i guess i have to wait for then 14-16 days for my period to come after the stretchy stuffs
