My 2nd child is due May 5th and I'm curious if my chances of going past 40 weeks are greater. My first was 10 days late and weighed 9-5! I imagine I'm going to have another big baby if I'm overdue again and just want to know what I might expect... Thanks!
I think that they are usually earlier. my first I was 2 weeks late, my second I was a week early, my third I was 2 days late, my fourth I was 2 weeks early.
You can never tell, but they say the second and so on is easier, but you can always be late again. My doctor will not let you go over a week late, with my first I had a different doctor and he waited 2 weeks late to induce, she was just happy where she was at...lol....and with my second it only took 2 hours of bad labor to have him, versus 13 hours with the first.
I hope this help at least a little...lol...
It really doesn't matter how many children you have in order to determine the "due date." The only thing they have proven is that your labor MIGHT be easier with the more children you have. HOPEFULLY your 2nd will come earlier---OUCH! a NINE POUNDER???
I have two dd's--both were 18 hours of labor, and both 5 days late. AND they were both 6# 12 oz babies! With this baby, I am having a boy, so knowing all the grief men give us, it'll probably be due one MONTH after my due date! LOL

There really is no way to predict whether or not you will go late. I had my first child 2 weeks early, so I thought that my 2nd time around would be early as well. I also assumed that my 2nd time around would mean an easier labor, but it didn't.
First child...........13 hour labor...........2 weeks early...............9lbs.
Second child.......26 hour labor...........3 days early.................9lbs.
My labor doubled from my 1st to my 2nd. First was born early.........2nd one was just about at due date...........both weighed the same.
I assumed I would have my second early since my first was born at 37 1/2 weeks, but here I am at 39 weeks with 0 signs of impending labor. I had actually heard you are more likely to go over with your first PG than later ones, but I do know quite a few people who went over with their 2nd. So I guess you never know!
My first weighed 7 lbs 7 ozs. Gaining half a pound a week, he would've been a 9 pounder at 40 weeks.... this one doesn't feel that big to me, though. She seems like she's probably around 7 lbs now at 39 weeks. I'd also heard that second babies are bigger, but I don't think that's true in my case.
I was only in labor for 5 hours with my son. They're expecting me to go really fast this time, but you still never know. It can depend on the babies position alot, too.
