It's not possible to have a period after conceiving (although it is possible to bleed for other reasons). Also, implantation does not occur until 5-12 days after ovulation, so it could not have been implantation spotting either. However, it could have been ovulation spotting, as you can get pregnant from having sex a few days before you ovulate. I believe both iimplantation and ovulation bleeding are classified as "spotting", not heavier bleeding like a period, but that might differ from person to person. Some people describe ovulation bleeding as a light period, so maybe it is heavier than spotting for those people.
