Csection

Can anyone tell me how long you are sore after a csection? I had one 5 weeks ago and it still hurts to bend. How long before you felt like yourself again? How long before you started exercising?

Re: Csection

Gee thats hard to remember, and my son is only 10 months. First off I had a really easy time with my C section, the nurses kept talking about how good I was doing, even better than the vaginal birth mommies. But I did a little to much I guess cause about 2 wks later, I was having more pain than when I had surgury, I think I overdid it. So I started trying to sit and rest a bit more and stayed home more. But I don't remember it being to bad after that. I mean no more than you would expect from having surgery. I know I returned to work at a little past 6 weeks, and don't remember it being bad. I hate to say I don't exercise, with the exception of walking. Hope you feel better soon. I am hoping to get another scheduled C section with this pregnancy.

Re: Csection

I had a c-section and at first I wasn't healing right and I got an infection, but I'm pretty sure I was almost back to normal by then (5 weeks). I was too tired to start exercising for a long time so I don't know when that was. I would just make a doctor's appt. and get it checked out. My infetion was caused because they removed my staples too soon. I think it had been about 2.5 weeks after the c-section that the infection started.
