I am starting my 20th week tomorrow and i was wondering how much movement is normal. I feel her move time to time but not that often and sometimes its only for 20-30 seconds. So i wanted to know how much i should be feeling her move around at this stage and is there anything i can do to feel it move more. Also, when will i start beginning more movements?
Every baby is different. But I think I've read somewhere to do "kick counts"-or any movement counts as I call them. For an hour keep track of how many times you feel baby move. I think it should be atleast 10. Also, I'm not sure how big baby is at 20 weeks, I forgot, it's been awhile...but I'm sure that as baby gets bigger, you'll notice more movement that you do now.
Thank you im1here. I get worried that i don't feel the baby move enough. I defineatly dont feel her move every hour. There could be a few hours where i dont feel at all and others when i do.
I am at 20 weeks and have the same concern. Some days I feel her all day and others, only a couple kicks here and there. I am going to talk to my Dr. about it, but I think that the baby is just so small at this stage, that it all depends on where she is positioned.
Certainly talk to your dr.- but I had and continue to have the same concerns. I did not really feel my baby move until around 27 weeks. Maybe 26. Everyone else seemed to have felt theirs around 18 and that bothered me- but like we all keep hearing everyone and every pregnancy is different. My dr. says 10 movements a day and you shouldn't worry- and he didn't say this at 20 weeks. He's saying that now at almost 31. Try not to worry- it will come and it will be so reassuring.
