Re: Measurements

Im not sure what they measure by but they measure from your pelvic bone to the top of your uterus.

Re: Measurements

I believe it is measured in CM's. This past week when I was at the DR I measured 2 cm more than the week I was in - I can only hope that means I might go early!

Re: Measurements

They measure in centimeters. If your measurements are off, they may do an ultrasound to make sure everything's okay, but keep in mind this is only a rough estimate. It can be off due to the way the baby is laying, how you are carrying and a number of other things. That happened to me and the baby started measuring small, but everything was fine with the baby.

Re: Measurements

As everyone else said, they measure in centimeters. I am almost 32 weeks, and have at my last two appts been measuring a week ahead. My dr said it can mean nothing, can mean a bigger baby, or can mean you truely are a week ahead. But the area around your pelvis to the top of your uterus is what they go by I guess. It's just to give them an idea.
