Well, FINALLY he is here. After TWO attempts of inductions, the little guy has come!
We were scheduled for an induction Tuesday morning, but I went into labor on my own LATE Monday night. We got to the hospital at 2:30AM Tuesday, and by 9:30 AM I had dilated to 9 CM's. Well, I STAYED at 9 cm's! We even tried Pit, and NOTHING. My doctor became concerned when she tried to put an internal contraction monitor inside and couldn't get it around the baby's head. She KNEW then I wouldn't have been able to push him out. So, a c-section was ordered. That was the WEIRDEST thing I have EVER gone through. Since I couldn't see anything, (because of the curtain in front of you) I was getting so nervous....UNTIL I heard Joey cry! Then I started bawling! I am GLAD I didn't push him out--he was 8#'s and 11 oz. 20 1/2 inches long. I NEVER would've been able to handle that! We are doing ok....Joey eats a TON! I lost a lot of blood, so I need to be on iron, and in general I am SORE.
Well, all the rest of you moms....HANG IN THERE! It is WORTH every second of not sleeping because of peeing through the night, all the morning sickness, and all the weight gain....
