No weight gain at all...?
This is just a random question really. I was watching a birth show yesterday (I think it was "Baby Hospital" which is live and interviews new moms) and they were chatting with this woman who has just had a baby boy a few hours earlier. She was saying that she didn't gain any weight at all during her pregnancy. Her pregnancy was normal and everything...she just hadn't put on any excess weight. She was a thin woman anyway (small, thin frame) and she reckoned that she'd be back in her normal clothes within 3-4 weeks.
I'm just wondering if this is normal? In the books and mags I read it's reccommended that women put on at least 15 pounds just to help carry the baby. How common is it to go an entire pregnancy without gaining any weight (not counting women who get very ill with M/S) at all?
