Is anyone else having this problem...one nipple leaking one's not? i dont' know if it's because they were pierced before, but only one of my nipples is leaking a lot out of the side and the other nothing. just curiouse if i'm the only one.
I'm sure that's normal-I'm sure if you squeezed the one that's not leaking, you'd see stuff come out. The nipple has quite a few holes in it, and I'm pretting sure that peircings don't affect where it leaks...but I could be wrong.
I have that one leaks noticably more then other. But if you can not squeeze anything out of the other one at all. Then I would talk to you dr about it. It can lead to a clogged milk duct. But really that is only if you can squeeze nothing out. Or, not to be nasty, but if your signifcant other sucks on it and still nothing comes out. Basically stimulation similar to the baby. If they start to leak while you are pg then any nipple stimulation will cause them to leak more. But I would worry if there was nothing after all that.
I found when I was nursing that one side produced more than the other, probably due to a previous surgery or not at all sure if being right handed could make your right breast more active...I noticed at night time I started leaking a couple weeks ago (currently 26 1/2 weeks) but have noticed again that I leak more on the right side...I wondered if because I sleep more on my right side which would put more pressure on the milk ducts in turn causing more to leak...but there was one or 2 days that I had dried leakage marks in the morning so know that for some reason my right side is more active...I'll probably never know if it's the surgery thing or the right handed thing. But thought I'd put my 2 cents in.
MIne leaked a little around 14 weeks, but only the left one leaked. And then it stopped for a long time and started up again at about 24 weeks, but still on the left one. The right one just started at about 35 weeks. I really thought it didnt' work! And I couldnt' see a hole in it either! It still doesnt' leak much. But the left one does.
