Hello,
I have a pool and love to work out in it and then lay out on a raft for a while. I know suns not good for me, I use sunscreen and wear a hat, but could it hurt the baby? By Dr said it was fine, but I was reading a pregnancy mag and it said its harmful? Anyone have any opinions? BTW, Im due Oct 18th, so Im not too big or in my delicate first trimester.

I'm due Oct 3rd and I've been laying out by the pool also. Trust your doc over a mag! Wear sunscreen and drink water. Enjoy your summer!
babies like sun! I try to go out everyday and pull my shirt up a little and let him "see" the sun, lol. And, oddly enough, there is now a study that says getting sun will actually help prevent some types of cancer! isn't that weird? just wear some sunscreen, and have fun!
laying out is the only gratification i get lately...my bellies huge (due june 8) i've got swollen everything and stretchmarks...but if i can get a little tan on my belly and legs then i feel a little pretty )
I just read in a pregnancy mag that laying out is fine as long as you wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water and don't allow yourself to overheat. Basically the same rules that apply to sunbathing even when you're not pregnant. Oh yes, wear plenty of sunscreen on your bump and don't allow it to burn.
