Excessive Fluid

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on here. The computer is in the basement and I just dont' feel like making the trip down here anymore. I hope everyone is doing great!

Here's my problem. I am approx. 35 weeks and absolutely HUGE in my belly. I have had 2 u/s in 2 weeks and 2 more next week due to measuring 7 WEEKS BIG!! They said there was alot of extra fluid, but no one has said anything about the possibility of polyhydramnios or anything like that. I see the perinatologist next week to see what the heck is going on. According to the u/s he weighs 9lbs already with 5 weeks left to go. I know that the weight can be off by a pound, but still. He gained a pound in a week according to the u/s before that, exactly a week before.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Excessive Fluid

I had polyhydraminos at I was measuring a couple weeks ahead most of my pregnancy then at 35 weeks I measured 40 I couldn't feel the baby move unless he did something big and it was very painful. there are measurements they have to determine the severity

Re: Excessive Fluid

I saw the perinatologist today and he said the baby is healthy, but that's all he would say. He didn't want to make a judgement call on when to deliver him. I see my regular ob tomorrow and hopefully he will have some good news for me. I am soooo done with this pg! According to my LMP I would be due on 6/29, but according to the measurements today I am due 6/8. Anyone had a healthy 9 pounder at 37 weeks?
