Now REALLY.........how close might delivery be??????
My DIL went to the doctor today. Our grandson is due May 30th. She was told that she was 2 centimeters dialated and 75% effaced and that there was a 50/50 chance of her going this weekend.

I know of people who have walked around for weeks 2 or more centimeters dialated. Is the difference the effacement? I thought at 100% the baby was delivering. Any help out there. I know that we have no real idea of exactly WHEN, but surely this is close?

I was 2 cm and went in 3 days later, by the time I got to the hospital I was 7cm! I don't know much about effacement tho, sorry!

I have been 80% effaced now for two weeks, and 1 cm dialted for two weeks, and then on Tuesday of this week I found out I was 2cm dialated. Although they didnt' think it would be too awful soon.
