No Movement at 19 weeks? ?

Hello,
I'm 19 weeks and I haven't felt any movement yet. Should I be concerned?

All the moms that I know say I should be feeling *flutters* and movements. But I don't feel ANYTHING.

I'm not sure if body weight has anything to do with it? I'm in good shape and was a healthy weight before I became pregnant. (5'7 135lbs) I have gained 6-8lbs so far.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Crystal

I didn't feel anything until 20 weeks. I would confuse it with gas, but now I know the difference. It doesn't feel like flutters to me at all anyway. I wouldn't even know what word to use. It just feels like movement. My best friend didn't feel anything until 23 weeks, so don't worry!

I wouldn't worry either. I think the nurse at my Dr. office told me that I should be feeling movement around week 22 or 23. I felt it around week 19.

I agree, it doesn't feel like bubbles or flutters. I was too caught up on those specific words, and ended up calling my baby movements gas and indigestion because of that. I would call it like little bumps and knocks in there. They are very subtle at first. You'll be amazed how quickly they'll get stronger once you know what you're feeling.

Re: No Movement at 19 weeks? ?

With my first pregancy I didn't feel anything until almost Week 21. So don't worry, and if felt like bubbles popping and wasn't very often and then it got to be a stronger feeling that you knew was the baby and more often.

Re: No Movement at 19 weeks? ?

I had this same concern....it really bothered me and I didn't really feel movement until 26-28 weeks.....not consistent and w/o a doubt movement that is. It was nice! And now at 33 weeks its unmistakable. She digs her little elbow or knee into the palm of my hand when I'm in bed and have my hand there to feel her. You have that to look forward to....don't worry! I wish I hadn't!
Good Luck with your pregnancy!
