You would usually get a bill in the mail afterwards, I have never heard of having to pay while your there. Do you have insurance? If not do you know the cost of delivery, it could be pretty expensive with no insurance.
I have insurance but it wont cover the epidural..I was reading a few websites and they mentioned some hospitals making you pay upfront. I know it was probably a stupid question, thanks for answering anyways!

nothing is ever a stupid question (I always think I am asking stupid ones too lol) I would suggest calling the hospital and asking them they would be able to tell you for sure that way your safe and feel better about knowing. Good luck
I am not sure either. A few years ago when my cousin had her baby, they made her go ahead and pay. But that was before that law came about that they cannot turn you away, if you can't pay (not saying that you can't) but that made it harder for them to request payment up front. They sent me a paper that said I could pay up front. But it's really hard to even know how much.
Try calling the hospital billing deptarment or the admitting desk and see what they say.
Good luck on Wed!
I went on a hospital maternity tour last week with my b/f. You should call your hospital to see when you can schedule a tour. It's a big help and put
my mind at ease about the big day. Anyway, all local phone calls are free and
the TV in the labor room is free. My hospital keeps all new moms for 2
days and the TV w/basic cable is available in that room for $5 per day.
