Brown spotting

Okay i am 5 days past my missed period and definetly pg i have been to the OB twice already (because i had an ectopic in Feb and they have to watch me as close as possible because of the chance of another.) anyway, Monday my qantitative HCG levels were 12.5 and on friday they were at 77.8 which my ob said was very good since i was still so early in the pg, well i went home and at about 12 pm i started to spot some brown blood i called the doctor and she wasnt to worried cause my husband and i had done the deed the night before but later in the day it turned to a more maroon/brown colored blood and a little heavier but not enough to get on a pad. I ended up in the er last night they did a pelvic and said that my cervix were still closed and that all the blood looked to be old and the termed it a threatened misscarge (which they called my ectopic before they knew it was ectopic) and said that i had a 60% chance of not misscaring, well i have kept spotting the brown blood today, i was wondering if this has happened to any of you and what you guys think about what is going on........ I havent had any pain or cramps im so scared any advice would be geatly appreciated!

Re: Brown spotting

Hun, I am keeping you in my prayers that everything works out for you! I would think that if the HCG is still rising like it should then everything would turn out ok. Have you talked to your dr about the continued bleeding? If you are having anymore, maybe you could see the ER physician again just to make sure everything is ok. I'm sorry I really don't have anymore advice to give you, I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers

Re: Brown spotting

Ask your doctor if they'll let you get an HCG test every 2-3 days so you can make sure your levels are still doubling. Also, I have heard that brown spotting is okay and you don't need to worry unless you are having red spotting or bleeding or it is accompanied by cramping. Are you still spotting?
