Burning up!!!!

I am 26 weeks and sitting here at my desk that is very cool and everyone else is wearing a jacket. Then there is me, I am sweating my but off and kinda dissy and blurred vision. Is this just a side effect of being pregnant or something else? Any info is good info.

Re: Burning up!!!!

I too am burning up all the time, but dont have dizzeness or blurred vision. You better discuss with your OB asap, as these can be signs of high blood pressure or gestational diabetes. Good Luck.

Re: Burning up!!!!

I am warmer than usual too because of all this extra weight but sounds like something else could be a possibility for you too, call your local L&D ward and ask them what they think, or try to get into your OB tomorrow. Goodluck.

Re: Burning up!!!!

I'm 26 weeks as well and I have two fans at my desk at work and the AC at home dropped all the way to 68, I'm REALLY warm too! But the dizzyness and blurred vision you are experiencing isn't normal, I would call your DOC ASAP, just to rule out anything more serious.
Keep us posted!

Re: Burning up!!!!

LOL sorry this just reminded me of how miserable I was when I was pregnant. I somewhat resembled a fat sweaty pig. Anyway hot flashes are normal but I never had the blurred vision. Yes I had a little bit of dizziness and still do at 6 weeks post partum. Hate to say this but the hot flashes will only get worse especially with the hot weather comming! Try putting baby powder (or gold bond powder) on your arm pits and underneath your boobs to keep them from sweating and drink lots of water. There isnt much you can do about this (I had them in the middle of winter) but remember it's only temporary.
