4-D Ultrasound

I went today for the 4-D ultrasound just for fun. We spent the first hour trying to get the baby to move her legs which she had completely over her face (her toes on her eyes ). For an hour she wouldnt wake up so they had me run up and down the stairs, and then finally go for lunch. After lunch we tried again. This time she had moved her legs but now she had her face smooshed right face down into my cervix so we couldnt get a picture. Thankfully, they said we could try again tomorrow but the appointment is again for around noon when she is very inactive. Does anyone have any tips for waking the baby up, any types of food that tend to work or something? My daughter is certainly camera shy

Re: 4-D Ultrasound

I heard drinking OJ and eating a candy bar 30 mintues prior does the trick.

Good luck-

Re: 4-D Ultrasound

I havent heard of anything but drinking ice water will get a reaction out of the baby. And it works for mine. I think its cute that she had her toes on her eyes.

Re: 4-D Ultrasound

I heard drinking sprite gets them moving. I did that when i went for my reg. ultra sound and she was moving all over the place. I forgot to do it for the 3D-4D ultrasounds.

Re: 4-D Ultrasound

Hi, my daughter-in-law had this done about a month ago. She was told that she should eat right before coming in and also it would be a good idea to have a Coke (or other caffine drink) on hand to "wake up" the baby. IT WORKED!! They got some great pictures and he looks just like the pictures.

I was really curious as to weather or not this baby would have much hair since the last one had only "peach fuzz". Also didn't know if it would show on the ultrasound IF he had a lot of hair. It didn't. He had a fair amount of black hair that didn't show up on the ultrasound. They are WONDERFUL to have.
