I went in Thursday morning to be induced. They broke my water at 8am, and then I got my epidural, and it was wonderful! And our beautiful baby was born at 5:38pm. I pushed for about 25 minutes, and then he came right on out, so fast that my dr didn't even have her gloves on yet. I did have a small tear, but as I was getting that fixed, I was having awful bleeding that my dr couldn't find where it was coming from. So after working on me for about 15 minutes, and suctioning a ton of blood, she saw that my cervix tore. So they had to rush me down to the operating room, and I freaked out. All in all, I came through okay. I ended up losing a liter of blood though, so I had to stay in the hospital an extra day. They have me on high doses of iron pills to build my blood back up. So I am really weak and dizzy, but glad to be home. My cervix ended up tearing because my son came out so fast, and he had his little hand on his face when he came out. He weighs 8lbs 3ozs and was 20 1/2 inches. He's a perfect little guy!
Hey everyone...me and my little guy are doing well. Just really tired! But it's all so worth it.
Jen-My b.p. did go down after delivering, but my dr said that might be due to losing all that blood. I had a dr's appt yesterday due to having a fever of 104...turned out to be infections from the complications I had, but my b.p. then was 114/78 which isn't too bad. I'm off my b.p. meds for now, and they are monitoring me, but they said I shouldn't have to go back on them. How are you doing? Not much longer, right? Hang in there!!!
