Re: im am soooo fat

Hi Sweetpea,

I know it is frustrating. People keep telling me that I don't look like I have gained that much weight and I have gained 40 pounds! That makes me feel like I must have been a porker before I got pregnant.

Take heart in the fact that you lost so much weight after your last child. I am impressed. You will do it again. You may not even gaind that much more wieght with this new pregnancy. Some women gain a lot in the beginning and not much in the end. Can you go out for walks and keep active? That makes me feeel a bit better.

My women friends tell me that pregnant tubbiness is cute so I am trying to embrace it. SOme days, I actually believe them.

do what you need to do to stay healthy and trust yourself to be able to lose the weight again.

good luck,

Jen

Re: im am soooo fat

I gained a lot of weight in the beginning of my pregnancy too. I worried that I might end up over 200 pounds at the rate I was going...but the weight gain did slow down from 6 months on. I haven't really gained anything in the last 3 months b/c I LOST 5 pounds a few weeks ago. I have gestationsal diabetes and the diet and exersize helped with that. And NO my weight gain in early pregnancy had NOTHING to do with developing diabetes - as some clueless people suggested. Some rude people made comments about my weight gain (I'm thin- these people usually were not and I think it made them feel good to make comments)...anyway, and I got upset quite a few times over it...but now people can't believe I'm 9 months and due in a couple of weeks....so DON'T WORRY! My weight slowed down and I hope yours does too....if not, you're pregnant- it's a beautiful thing...embrace it~
