hey ladies. I gave birth 2 weeks ago today and I know bleeding and clots are normal. BUT (sorry TMI) today I passed a large clot. It was smaller then my palm but it was pretty big. I don't know if this is normal or not. Anybody know?

i passed about 9 clots in a week after my c-section, one was as big as my fist....

i called the post-partum line in my area and they told me that if i pass more than 4 in 24 hours i need to come in (hospital that is) luckily i didnt, i passed 3 in 24 hours though. thing is i only passed clots, no bleeding accompanied it. if you are bleeding heavily with your passing of clots, you need to go in, hope i helped

thanks for the info. I delivered vaginaly so they said bleeding is normal, but I still worry.

I know when I delivered they told me if they were larger than a 50 cent piece that you should call. I know I had a couple that were pretty large, but everything was great.

I delivered three weeks ago today and my doctor said if I passed any clots the size of a lemon or larger to call ASAP. I luckily just had a few small clots in the first week and now I'm not really even bleeding anymore just more like a watery discharge with a lil red in it. I would call your doctor in the morning just to be on the safe side. They are use to calls so why not lol.
