Is this normal?

My baby is 6 days old now and doing wonderfully. I just had a question about epidural after effects. Is it normal to have some back pressure where the epidural was in place? And sometimes it goes up my back a little. No pain really, just some pressure every now and then. It's so hard to tell if it's that or from pushing or something. Has anyone had this happen before?

Arrow Re: Is this normal?

Hi! this is my first pregnancy so I cannot answer as someone who has had an epidural during delivery.

However, I have had MANY epidurals for my neck. I do not know if its the same thing but I sure was sore/tender after my epidurals for a few days to a week even. Did they say you can treat the area with ice and heat? That always helps me.

I hope I helped a little. You should probably call the Dr. just to see if its normal though.
