i heard from my visiting nurse that any dental work, is completley safe, actaully its encouraged, im kinda scared to do it...anyone heard any different??
I was also wondering, any first time moms like me talking about having any more children already, me and my hunny are, in about a yr and a half we are going to have another
For dental work requiring you to be on painkillers, or oral surgery, you'd want to postpone that. Standard dental work is fine. Some pregnant women get sore & bleeding gums easily. Oral care needs to be kept up on. It's okay to get x-rays too.
First time mom here, and this will be my last. I'm too old and pregnancy is not something I want to do again.

My dentist told me that dental work shouldn't be done in the 1st trimester because it can cause miscarriages, but it COULD be done in the 2nd trimester and then in the 3rd trimester it shouldn't be done caz of causing preterm labor.
My dentist was going to fill some teeth for me during the 5th month but postponed it only because the fillings weren't desparately needed just yet. He said the work would have been safe to do. It's very important to visit the dentist regularly while pregnant just to keep an eye out for gum disease. If you're in the UK like I am take advantage of dental care because it's free to pregnant women.
First time mom here and I'm not even thinking about more kids yet. This pregnancy has been very hard so it's going to be a LONG time before I even consider a second one.
