Question about eating?

I feel that the bigger i get, the less food it takes to get me full. Is it because the baby is taking up more room.

Re: Question about eating?

Yes. Same thing here. Your uterus is starting to push everything up into your chest cavity making you feel fuller faster. Be careful when you eat. I ate a bit too much dinner last week and ended up throwing up most of my meal. I felt like such a glutton. *lol*

A good book to look into is "What to Expect When You're Expecting". That's where I read about everything being pushed up into your chest cavity.

Take care!

Re: Question about eating?

Absolutely...the last few weeks with my first pg, I could only eat a very little bit at each meal...by dinner I felt like I had to force myself to eat because I just wasn't hungry anymore for the day. I was worried, but my doctor told me that it's normal and that the baby would be just fine.

Re: Question about eating?

The same thing is happening to me right now, so that kinda makes me feel better. I am Only 7 1/2 weeks along and am also getting over a lingering cold (grrrr...lol) where I didn't have much of an appetite, but now that I'm feeling better I'll be really hungry for awhile, and when I eat, I can't even eat half my meal. I went to breakfast and ate all my hashbrowns and barely touched my omelet (which I normally eat half of!) so I think everything is normal with you and it's comforting to know everyone else has experienced this too!
