I just can't take this heartburn anymore. It gets worse by the day. Even if i don't eat i get it. Tums are no longer working so my Dr. suggested that i try Zantac OTC. Anybody else going through this? Have any good remedies?

I have the same problem with heartburn. And tums stopped working for me too. So I bought Pepcid AC and that is helping. But its not just for heartburn, it works for acid reflux too which I also have. Ive been having problems with m/s I thought until I started taking this once a day and now I can keep food down too. Try that and see if it works for you. I feel your pain though, just think not much longer to go! Your due in Oct right? If not Im then Im sorry.

I had it with my 1st, bad, Heartburn and acid reflux. Dr gave me Zantac presciption 150, OTC is 75. I did help alot. I am pregnant again and started back on the Zantac rx, and needed tums too!!! I was worse, so I told Dr. at last appt and she gave me a different rx that is helping, I don't remember what it is called.

I don't have any remedies for you but I can give you a bit of advice my best friend gave me. She's always had bad heartburn but when she got pregnant with her son it got even worse. What worked for her was to cut way down on cheese (her fave food!), especially at night. For some reason cheese always made her heartburn a hundred times worse than normal.

I am due in October so i only have 3 more months. I did take the Zantac and it does seem to help. Tums is good for right on the spot though but doesn;t last. Thanks for your help.
