Brown spotting--8 weeks along

Hi ladies,
I just noticed when I last went to the restroom that I'm spotting a little. It's brown, not pink or red. I haven't had anything so far--no implantation bleeding or anything. Dh and I haven't had sex in a while, so I know it's probably not that. I haven't experienced any loss in symptoms (still feel rotten as ever).
Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to call the doctor in the morning, but until then I was just looking for some advice. It really startled me.

It is good that you are checking with your doctor.

Typically browm blood is considered old blood. This could be from implantation etc. The bigger concern is red or pink which indicates a more immediate problem. Have you had any cramping?

I agree here it sounds like it could just be older blood finally coming out, I would still find out what doc says and if it turns a brighter red or pink then definitely call a doctor. I hope it is nothing, good luck

Thanks for all the replies. I called the doctor this morning and she said if it turns red or I start cramping to go to the ER. I'm pretty sure it was just a one time thing though--it hasn't happened again.
