Okay, I know the question sounds weird, but I never paid any attention to what my breasts looked like until now, and I don't know if what I'm seeing is normal or not. I am c. 12 days post-ovulation, and desperately hoping I'm pg. The only real difference this month over all other months is that my breasts have been sore for the past 3 days or so. They're not very sore, but I don't think I ever had sore breasts as a pre-menstrual thing.
Anyway, so I have one prominent green-blue vein on the top of each aereola, curving around the side. I can also see a few other green-blue veins, but not as clearly. I'm also noticing tons of very very thin purplish-red lines just below the skin. Is this normal? I always had some little white bumps, and I can't tell if there are any new ones forming.
I took a test a couple of days ago, and it came up negative. Which makes sense, given that the box says "can be taken as early as the day your period is due," and mine isn't due until Sunday. So I'm going to wait until Sunday to test again. Thanks.
An early sign of pregnancy is a darkening of the areola. It's usually a light brown color, but if it looks really dark, chances are you're pregnant because of the addition of the sore breasts. Good luck!
"Not everything that steps out of line, and thus 'abnormal,' must necessarily be 'inferior.'"
I took another EPT today and it was negative. My nipples are still sort of sore though, and they look darker than usual (the rest of the areolae hasn't changed color). I'm expecting my period today, and there's no sign of it yet. If it doesn't come by Wednesday, I guess I'll test again.
