Is it true that your hips PERMENATLY spread when you are pregnant? My friend told me that your hips spread and they will never go back to where they were. I am scared because hers spread a LOT and her body shape looks completly different.

I think for most people their hips are "back to normal" in 9-12 months. I've been told (and I've read) that many women will get back to their pre-pregnancy weight before they get back to their pre-pregnancy clothes because of this. I think the rule is to just expect it to take a year for your body to get completely back to normal.
I'm still waiting LOL... I'm almost 7 months pp and have been back to my pp weight for quite awhile now I was lucky not to struggle to loose the wieght but I still have a few pairs of jeans I can't get back into that I was wearing when I was 5 months pregnant!! So it cheers me up immensly to read that it can tak 9-12 mnths
