fever during first trimester

Please help...

I am running a low grade fever at the moment due to a cold. (only low 37C) I am only in the very early weeks. I have read somewhere that fever can cause birth defects, especially in the early months. I can't believe that I am the only one in the world that has caught a cold and run a fever during early stages of pregnancy...Should i be concerned????

Thanks for any advice/reassurance.

Re: fever during first trimester

I don't think I would be overly concerned. Take some Tylenol to bring your fever down. And let your Doc know today about it and he/she can advise you.
