Question Can a c-section be performed if you have the flu?

Hi Ladies,
I am scheduled for a c-section this Thursday 10/13 and since Saturday have gad a sore throat, cough and chest congestion. my doctor just prescribed ampicillan....
Is it safe for me to have a c-section while sick?

Please hlp!!!!!!!

Im no dr but I wouldnt think so meerly due to the fact of airborn pathogens and infection, I mean unless it is an emergency I think they may make you wait

as far as i knowe , i guess it's pretty safe to have surgery unless you have a very high fever, then doctors don't like to perform surgery. but like the other post said unless your or the baby are in danger , you can wait until you are feeling better.
