Went to the Er with pains....and IUGR

Ok, I had to go to the Er with cramps... pretty intense ones. I am 14 weeks pregnant. Well, the baby, measured out at 12 and a half weeks pregnant. You know, I really think that I am going to have a little baby. The baby looked like a baby, had legs knees, feet toes, hands, arms, elbows, and the heart rate was 175 and strong. The tech went all around with the device, and the baby, was swatting at it.. Fisty...lol. Anyway, the ultrasound was bothersome to the baby. Made it squirm, and arch its back, kick its legs...lol but they wouldnt give me a pic, and I wanted one. They gave me the last 2. This was a new tech. Grrr..lol But honestly I think that I am going to have a little baby. They are now telling me may 2nd... due date.. GEEZ..lol. I am ok now and the baby is doing fine. I worry a lot about it.. The babys legs were closed so they couldnt see the gender. But everything suggest a girl, I will know when I go to parenatology in DEC.. what do you guys think about the possibility of having a small baby.. I do have hypertension.. and I am obese.. let me know.

Just take care of yourself. You seem like a cool person, I know you frequent this board often and I am getting to know you more and I just want you and your baby (girl?) to be okay. It is very important to be healthy especially with your baby coming as well as afterwards. Take care Hopefully no more issues with your health!

Eh you can't really tell until later--it is still too soon to tell how big your baby is going to be. I mean, they had my due dates all off, and every ultrasound I went to it changed. Plus they said I was going to have a HUGE baby but he turned out to be 7 lbs and 5 ozs. I also was in and out of the ER with cramps, but most of them were growing pains or constipation cramps. (sometimes they were so bad I was hunched over with pain)

Just try to eat healthy and try not to worry about the birthweight so much. Stress effects your baby as well...so be healthy and congrats!

Re: Went to the Er with pains....and IUGR

Thanks for the advice. It just scared me when I heard that I was 2 and a half weeks behind. Sigh.. Maybe things will be alright. I guess now they are saying I will have a May baby. Teehee. And I was so looking forward to the April. I worry about the little one all the time. With my previous history and all. I mean before I hadnt had a peiord for a long while, and I still got pregnant. Plus all the other things that happened to me. And my weight. That concerns me even more, as well as my liver problem. So I will try to take your advice and not worry so much. I know that its bad for the baby. Thanks for the advice.
