Weight Gain Check?

I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and I have gained 7 pounds.I think that are all in my boobs! People are now giving me strange looks cause I was not a little in that department to begin with.

What have you guys gained so far? I was nervous that I was not gaining enough, but doc said it was fine.

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I have gained about 10 pounds and I am 29 weeks almost 30. My DR is fine with that. After losing weight in the beginning cause of m/s any weight gain was great! My weight is all in my belly, like a basketball!

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I am 31 weeks (tomorrow) and I have gained 19.5 pounds. My DH has packed on a few pounds and he is determined to go on a diet when the baby comes! LOL He sounds just like an expectant mommie. He still looks great though! I wish I looked as good as he does

Re: Weight Gain Check?

Aren't sympathy pains so very sweet? My DH got up to go to the bathroom every hour the other night. He said, "What the heck is wrong with me?" And I told him it's sympathy pee pee! LOL

Re: Weight Gain Check?

Hi, I am almost 29 wks and have gained 2 lbs at my last appt a week ago. I was overweight to begin with, and had Morning sickness in the beginning (not as bad this time as with my DS.) But I took Clomid with both and at first Dr.s appt I would always be 5-7 lbs heavier than my normal weight then with the morning sickness I would start losing, with my DS I gained 17 lbs total. So hopefully I will do better this time and loose extra after I have her, I hope!!!!!!!!!!! I thought BF would hopefully help me loose my baby weight and some extra, but my DS wasn't having anything to do with BFing so that didn't work, I plan to try again with DD.

Re: Weight Gain Check?

WOW!! I gained 60 pounds during my first pregnancy so I'm doing great this time compared to you. BUT, I still wish I had only gained 2 pounds so far. WOW, good for you!

Re: Weight Gain Check?

Thanks, I am glad, but like I said I did all my gaining prior to pregnancy, guess going thru 4 years of TTC did its toll. But hopefully I can drop some of it after I have the baby. Trust me you can definately tell I am pregnant, I am just glad I didn't gain alot or I wouldn't be able to find clothes to wear.

Re: Weight Gain Check?

Hi everyone...I am in week 31 and have officially gained a big fat -ZERO- lbs...Sigh!!The baby is literally sucking the life/fat from me!lol! No really, the doctor said that I was fine, the babys fine too and right on track as far as size/weight goes...The doctor said I should just count my blessings and stop stressing out over it but I still worry from time to time...I was overweight to begin with and am 6' tall to boot so that may definitely have something to do with it. The first thing people do when they know I'm pregnant and how far along I am is to say. WHAT!?Where's the baby at?!I guess I'm just carrying her very well....Oh well..just a few more weeks to go..So exciting! My c-section is scheduled for 12-21 so wish me luck everyone!

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I am 16 weeks and I have gained between 8-11 pounds. I am a small person height and weight wise. I have been gaining since about 7 weeks. I have a small belly, but I think the weight went all over. I feel like my backside, and thighs, and upper abdomen have more fat then they did before. I can tell because before I was small.

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I know everyone is doing GREAT! My DH has gained like 20+ so far this pregnancy, but mainly due to him injuring his knee in July and having surgery. He is getting it off now.

Re: Weight Gain Check?

hey everyone, i went to my 12week appt. yesterday and i have actually lost a total of 10 pds since i have been pregnant. i gained 20pds before i was pregnant but was really sick when i got pregnant and the weight started coming off. what was bad is that i weighed the same as when i was pregnant with my first child which was kind of sickening so i am actually glad to have lost some weight.
with the last 2 i gained 20pds each so not too bad.
take care,
robin

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I am nearing 33 weeks and have gained about 40 lbs. But its all in my belly and my boobs. None of the weight gain went to my face or arms or legs. Maybe a lil in the butt.

Re: Weight Gain Check?

Waiting4baby, You sound just like me in my first pregnancy. I was a week overdue and ended up gaining 50 lbs, but I lost half in the hospital, and another 10 the first week, and had lost it all and then some in a couple of months. I didn't work out or diet, I just had a very big, healthy baby who nursed like crazy and sucked all the fat off my bones. After I quit nursing I gained 15 lbs, which I took into my current pregnancy. So far (7 wks) I have lost a couple of lbs. I hope I can limit my weight gain to 25 lbs this time around, but I'm not going to panic if I gain more. It all comes off if you breastfeed!

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I am 17 wks and so far I have lost 16lbs. The morning sickness has and still is terrible! However I do enjoy wearing all my old clothes yet!

Re: Weight Gain Check?

I am 13 weeks along (with twins) and have gained 0 pounds. I'm trying just to maintain at this point as m/s is so bad.

I gained 21 pounds with my singleton and was 10 pounds lighter 2 weeks after he was born! Think that will happen again????
