I was on Orthro Tricyclen Lo for about five months. My boyfriend and I have been tryin' to get pregnant for about another 5 months. I got off of it in May and it is now October and i'm still not pregnant. We try different times each month to see if that'll help but nothin'. I don't understand whats wrong and neither does he. We have been together for two and a half years so I don't have an STD or anything to prevent it. I would really like to know why I can't get pregnant. If you have any answers please respond! Thanx! <3 Krissy
You could purchase ovulation predictor tests to see when you ovulate. Not everyone ovulates on day 14. They are a bit more expensive than pregnancy tests but they work very similar. Relaxation is important too. The more you stress sometimes the hearder it is to conceive.
I was on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen for over 4 years and I got pregnant in 4 months. My midlife, told me that about the soonest or average time after coming off the pills is about 4 months, so give it time. Are you getting married soon?
A woman only has a 20-25% chance of getting pregnant each month. I have read on average, it takes 6 months to get pregnant. If you don't get pregnant after 12 months, then it is recommended to see a doctor about it. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just have fun!
