Just wondering...I'm trying to see if the Dr's are full of poop!! I swear I felt my second baby move for the first time at about 12 and 1/2 weeks but the Dr's all say there's no way you can feel it before around 18 weeks. I think this is bull. When did all of you first feel your first or consecutive children move during pregnancy??? I felt my first DS move at 16 weeks.
I felt him moving around 12 weeks, you're exactly right. It's so much easier to feel the second time around because you know what to feel for. Wonder what's up with that doctor of yours!!! LOL
Yep!! Male all the way. I told him I swore I felt the baby move when I went to my 13 week appt on Oct 21st and he said there's no way the baby is big enough. Meanwhile, he just finished telling me that my baby was measuring a week bigger according to my u/s. It also states you usually feel the baby between 16-22 weeks in all the books and websites I have read. Whatever...I know what I felt!
Hi! I am pregnant with my first child and I felt it move for the first time around 16 weeks, although it has not been very consistent. My doctor said that I should feel it consistently around 19 weeks or so....I am 18 now!!!!
I felt what I am thinking was the baby move at about thirteen weeks. I had a Dr. appointment that day and after describing the thumping feeling and showing him where the feeling was coming from, he said that it sounded like the baby to him. He also said that I was at the point that they would expect the first movements to be detectable, and that I would feel baby more and more often over the next few weeks. I am now at 14 weeks and have felt the "thumpy" feeling several times since last week.
i started feeling baby move at 16 weeks 5 days i felt things before this time but was not sure then if it was baby moving or not, this is my first baby. he now moves all thime i am 18 weeks 5 days it feels like little taps inside me.
I started feeling my 2nd baby flutters around 11wks!!! I am now almost 17wks, and I have felt a few kicks. Some male drs are not all there when it comes to the female body!
I am also a first time mother and i started feeling my baby at 13 weeks!! I couldnt believe it at first, and let me tell you it was a strong kick or else i would've attributed it to something else!! You know what you felt and dont let anyone tell you differently just cause you're not the "norm"!! LOL

You felt a strong kick at 13 weeks? WOW, that's really early. Are you sure about your EDD? I didn't feel strong kicks until after 20 weeks or so with my second one. I can't remember how early it was with the first.
Hi!! Well it wasnt exactly a STRONG kick, I guess it was weak, but it was strong enough to where i could definately differentiate between that and any other gasses/twitches going on in my tummy. but just to clear up, it was weak compared to whats to come i suppose!LOL!! and my edd is correct as we were ttc and i know my ovulation date and all that good stuff!

I am a firsttime mom and felt my lil guy move around 11 or 12 weeks. I am really intuned with my body and know everything that is going on. I think your doc is full of bs.
I just asked this question somewhere else and then found this thread. I am 11 weeks tomorrow and swear I felt the baby move today...just little flutters and thumps. With ds I felt him move around 18 weeks...maybe a bit earlier.
I was thinking I was losing it or just had bad gas but maybe not...it does seem early though.
I have 3 children and I had felt my first child move around 20 wks but my second and third I was around 12 wks or so... I knew what it felt like and so it was easier to spot.
