I am currently 25 weeks along and went to the hospital last night because I had bleeding during intercourse (most likely my cervix they told me). The nurse hooked me up to a monitor for an hour and said the baby is fine and sent me home. My concern is that tonight, exactly 24 hours after I bled last night I am still wiping a small amount of brown discharge. I think it mgiht be old blood but was wondering if anyone else experienced this and if I should be concerned. The baby was moving earlier today and not at all tonight (she could be sleeping and I'm worrying too much) There is no pain associated with this, but I was just wondering if this brown stuff is a cause for concern. Thanks for any advice
I would definately call your doctor in the morning and let him know about the discharge. Just let him know that you are really worried and ask if he can maybe fit you in today just for your peace of mind. Hope everything turns out fine and good luck!

I had some bleeding about a week ago. The midwife told me not to freak if I had sort of brownish discharge for about a day because it would be old blood. If you're still concerned though you should call.
In april I m/c with my first baby and got pregnany again in 7/05. When I was 5 weeks along I too noticed that I had a brownish d/c when I wiped and freaked out and had my doctor paged after hours. He told me not to get worked up that it was just old blood and was very common in pregnancy. I have since had it once or twice since then and everything is fine so I would not worry about it I am sure you are fine as well.
I went thru the same exact thing at 19 weeks.Now im 23 weeks. Doctor wasnt worried at all, he said as long as it doesnt get bright red and heavy it was ok. Mine lasted 24 hours also.
